RPP coverage for productions & contractors on or near railways
It is common for railroads to require a production or contractor to provide Railroad Protective Liability Insurance (RRPL) for the duration of projects on or near railways.
RRPL is different from a typical insurance policy in that it protects the railroad, not the contractor/production, since only the railroad is the “Named Insured”. RRPL covers the railroad for acts or omissions arising out of the “work” at the “job location”.
The Railroad Protective Liability Insurance program quotations are usually sent within 10 minutes after receipt of application, during business hours.
